History of Isuzu

The Japanese vehicle manufacturer Isuzu has a rather small range of its own passenger cars and is mainly known for the production of special vehicles such as pick-ups and light trucks. The reason for this can be found in long-term cooperations - like the one with GM. For a long time, GM prevented Isuzu from producing its own models or prohibited the sale of vehicles under the Isuzu brand in the American home markets. In Germany, Isuzu Sales Deutschland GmbH is currently responsible for sales. The model range in this country includes the D-Max Single Cab as well as the Space Cab and the Double Cab. The brand is also known for special structures such as the caretaker, hunter, 3-way tipper, winter service or the living cabin. Under the N-series, the Japanese summarize light trucks from 3.5 t to 7.5 t gross vehicle weight. In detail, these are the models N35/NLR, N35/NNR, N55/NMR and N75/NPR. Since in the past many Isuzus resembled Opel or Holden vehicles or were almost identical in construction, numerous spare parts are available. Do you need car parts for your Isuzu? Then you've come to the right place! You will definitely find what you are looking for in our huge web shop. With a simple search using the KBA number or directly using the brand, you can find the relevant wearing parts quickly and easily. And that at a low price and in comparable OE quality! The forerunner of Isuzu was created in 1916 as a cooperation between a Japanese shipyard and the Tokyo gas and electricity works. Initially, cars were mainly produced for the British brand Wolseley. In 1949 the company was given its later name Isuzu, which refers to the river of the same name in Japan. 1953 followed with the Isuzu Minx the first own vehicle. General Motors acquired Isuzu in 1971. From then on, Isuzu also participated in the GM world car project. The Gemini, Aska and Piazza models were the result of this cooperation. From 1990 onwards, Isuzu only manufactured off-road vehicles, buses and trucks. In 2006, GM resold its Isuzu shares.
