History of Lancia

According to Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, the Lancia model range will only consist of the Ypsilon small car by 2016 and will only be sold in Italy. Although the Voyager is still on the Lancia website, it is originally a Chrysler vehicle. If you are looking for spare parts for your Ypsilon or for an older Lancia such as the Delta, Lybra, Thesis or Musa, you have come to the right place. In our webshop you will find numerous car parts for your vehicle. With a simple search using the KBA number or directly using the brand, you should quickly find what you are looking for. Lancia was founded in 1906 by Vincenzo Lancia and Claudio Fogolin in Turin. Lancia can look back on a long tradition and pioneering achievements in automobile construction. In 1913, for example, the company launched the first vehicle with an electric starter and illuminated instruments on the European market. The Lancia Lambda also went down in history as the first vehicle with a self-supporting body.

Like other Italian manufacturers, Lancia also built commercial vehicles such as buses and trucks. Although Lancia had a reputation for producing high-quality automobiles, it did not manage to get out of the red. Finally, in the late '60s and early '70s, Fiat took over both Lancia's car and truck divisions. New models followed, such as the Gamma in the upper middle class or the Delta in the compact class. However, later models such as the Thesis from 1998 were not very successful. In the luxury small car market, vehicles like the Lancia Y also faced increasing headwinds from manufacturers such as BMW and Audi. From 2009, when Fiat took over Chrysler, there was closer cooperation with Chrysler. The Americans should benefit from the design, the Italians from a wider range of models. In Europe, however, sales of the new model range remained unsatisfactory.
