History of Morgan

Morgan is a British sports car manufacturer and holds the record for the longest continuously produced automobile with its Morgan 4/4 model. The name 4/4 is the abbreviation for the description "four cylinders and four wheels". The 4/4 has been built more or less unchanged since 1936. The engine and gearbox in particular have been modified over the course of time. The special thing about the Morgan is its body. As in classic boat and carriage construction, the British manufacturer uses a combination of a wooden framework and a steel frame for the body. In addition to the 4/4, Morgan currently also offers the models 3 Wheeler, Plus 4, Roadster, Plus 8 and the modern Aero8, whose chassis is glued together from aluminum sheets. If you are part of the Morgan community and are looking for spare parts for your vehicle, you have come to the right place in our webshop. With a simple search using the KBA number or directly using the model, you can quickly find the car parts you are looking for. The Morgan was founded in 1909 by Harry Stanley Morgan in Malvern Link. At the end of the 1960s, the eight-cylinder Morgan +8 was added as a further series, which was built until 2004 and can therefore also look back on a long production period. A successor to the +8 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, which, equipped with a 4.8-liter V8 engine from BMW, has 270 or 291 kW and travels 100 km in less than five seconds /h accelerated.
